corpse explosion bugged?

I never bought any other rank of corpse explosion and tested the damage of rank 1 corpse explosion. It did 3019 damage on a lvl 80 target dummy. I then bought all rank up to rank 5 and tested the damage on the same lvl 80 target dummy. It did 3019 damage then a 3007 damage. Has anyone confirmed if this talent is bugged or has a GM mentioned it anywhere? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Well the last time when I tested it with few players the damage was ok.Also I.will give you advice to not test on dummies

The real bug with this is that you sometimes use a gcd and 40 rp on the skill but your pet refuses to do anything making it pretty much useless in my opinion. Pet is missing a command to stop whatever it is doing before exploding I guess.
