S.O.P.A have become larger and larger and more global with a number of countries showing interest. There was downtime on Wikipedia because of S.O.P.A

But yes, it would be possible. This wouldn't happen for years to come and honestly, i don't think it would ever happen.

S.O.P.A. is just a ham-handed attempt to make illegal what is already illegal by blocking a shit load of liberties we like on the internet, so trust me a lot of shit can shut us down, S.O.P.A. is one of them, but it has just about as good of chance of doing so as anything else, no more.

Some website protested and were "blacked out" for a certain amount of time just to protest against SOPA.
It should be quite obvious that they won't do SOPA with 90% of the internet protesting. Just no way. There's nothing to worry about tbh.

You dont have to worry about it sopa is just another version of bills that have been introduced and denied the first version was pipa they keep removing it and re introducing it i highly doubt it well every pass. i love how people now notice it when its been in congress for 2 years now ( not the sopa bill its self but previous versions). i mean sopa had been delayed 3 times in the last 4 months,

the next time it enters is January-February anyone here (american) can just spam there local congressman phone. Thats what a lot has been doing it seems to really get the message through. the way this protest works is you call youre congressman once every minute. we so far got 45k people doing it ( or so thats how many signed up to do it).

Also on top of that major business's have protested this bill google aol ebay facebook bank of america paypal wiki yahoo and many more.

and it well shut down the use of this server for Americans if it passes. seeing how this bill is to stop internet pirating and illegal use of products through the internet.

The server is located in the USA. Most of the community is European just like me.
