World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

#1 » Post by Arvit » 21 Oct 2011 23:51

So what do you guys think about this new expansion?
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyeZ8khS ... ture=feedu

Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures -- including the noble and enigmatic pandaren. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation... or will the battle to control this new land push the Horde and the Alliance over the brink of war and into total annihilation?

I watched it and I laughed. This is the end of wow. All fanfics are better than that excuse of a plot...the destruction of class talents (6 talent points in the game)...pet combat (you gotta catch them all!)...maybe I will make a longer post but I just can't. Or I write this less or I start spewing thousands of pages of concentrated rage.

http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=196426. ... at-we-know

More data there.

P.s: fun that this fake expansion sounded way better and actually epic:
http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=191853/ ... f-the-void
Is there any chance that the latter is true and the former a major "f**k you" message to the warcraft fans?

hahahahahaHAHAAH how utterly ridiculous this is. Wow lore died.

Omg no... please no, blizzard.

What the hell happened with this game? >.>

My reaction to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31g0YE61PLQ

I think I know the reason of my lotro download now. Reactivating my acc.

Well... to be honest. The new locations, new race and class look amazing.
But damnit... it doesn't fit THIS game.
Lore pwned.
Now playing WoW will feel like playing all of those korean MMOs out there.

In all honesty, people are over reacting. Maybe you don't realize this but, the Pandaren were around since before WoW. They were in WC3. You only really saw a few seconds (if any) of actual game play and already, you're all criticizing the game. It's ridiculous. The same things were said about Cataclysm too and that brought thousands of new players to WoW. I just find that complaining about pandas is a little.. unnecessary. I mean, don't you like pandas? :|

P.S. The comments on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyeZ8khS ... r_embedded are more active than the in-game chats. I find that a little interesting.

Yep, pandaren were in Warcraft 3 but it wasn't an actual race. It was just a "secret" developer mark. I don't know where did they appear in the actual lore, though.

Atm I'm wondering where will the whole pandaria be located...

It looks great but doesn't fit the game, seriously. I love this japanese culture and music, it's awesome.
While watching this vid, most people will think about Kung-Fu panda, no doubt.

Yes, but they were incorporated into lore. Though not much was known about them, they still existed. Chen Stormstout, a Pandaren Brewmaster also appeared in the bonus campaign Old Hatreds: Colonization of Kalimdor as an optional hero. Also, everything fits in WoW. Anyway, you don't have anything against pandas, do you?

Watch OMFGCata's thing on it if you have the time, its more than an hour long :s. Pretty funny yet somewhat informal when its all guessing stuff. It was made around 2 months ago when the rumor first came up.

It's enough - the setting is ridiculous. The addition of the Pandaren to the lore is ridiculous as well. And did you see the changes to the talents? And challenge modes will ruin PvE.

6 total talent points in the entire game
This is enough to criticize!

By the way Fenris, my reaction can be summed up as:
SWORD!!!
*beheads panda*
(GOT reference :P)
Brewmasters tanking...ewww. All that we heard about the expansion sucks.

BTW, new information was added on the wowhead link that I supplied on my first post.
