I named my first character Wulf, a orc shaman, after the Ghost Wolf spell

, and my tauren hunter, Marax, after the demon Morax who "is depicted as a man with the head of a bull"

Many years ago when I was about 8 years old or something, on games like windows pinball for the high scores I liked to enter the first three letters of my name 'JAM'es instead of initials, that's why all my names start with jam.

head has stuck as my favourite choice for years now.

My character's name 'Degaris' is a spin on a name called 'Degra' who was a character in 'Star Trek Enterprise'.

Adding to my own topic, I picked the name Nielas from Nielas Aran, the father of Medivh and one of the bosses in Karazhan. Took the same looks while I was at it.

Same goes for my Paladin alt Marjhan, who is modeled after Scarlet Commander Marjhan in Light's Hope Chapel.

Mostly names I used over the years on retail... Hunters have always been Madmartagan from Willow (Madmartigan is the correct spelling though), Trystram for my paladins (variation of Tristram), but lately I have gone with either Arthurian names, Game of Thrones characters, characters from other videos games like Final Fantasy and Ogre Battle 64...

The two names I use most are Xaqshnr ( executioner ) and Hatryd. Both of which are just something I came up with one day. I also use Smith when I play hunter, naming the pet Wesson ( Smith & Wesson ) then a few random name generated names from my days in both Retail Vanilla and BC and one generated in Rift... Kanicus, Jesmon Severa and Babane.

Saben from spending 30 minutes using the name generator on the character creation.
Volescue because Volescu was taken on my old server (name from Ender's Game I always thought sounded cool)

Got Neryx via random name generator 4 years ago, and ever since then, I use it as my main name. While I guess the rest of them speak about themselves. ^^
