I listen to this a lot as my sister has long been suffering from a devastating heroin addiction while at the same time dealing with anorexia and borderline disorder as well as a lot of other trauma, both drug related and not. Not my favorite song ever but it helps dry out the tear glands when needed. Throughout all the years, the lyrics hit just as hard every time. The song deals not only with the abuser, but as well as the people around them who are also affected. It's heart wrenchingly sad, but it does help. I strongly recommend this folk player as well. He's said to be "the Jimi Hendrix" of acoustic guitar, of that era.
