If you are looking for a guild, guild members or leveling partners among the Alliance, this is a good place to find them.

Searching for 21+ community Guild

#1 » Post by bogey2230 » 24 Oct 2014 16:22

Good Afternoon,

I am searching for a ' home ' within this WoW server for myself. A little information about me;
Mid 40's married man
retired (medical) from US Army
found WoW many years ago before BC dropped and played this MMO exclusively til a few weeks after Cata dropped
For those 4-5 years, I was only in two Guilds ( 1 Horde, 1 Alliance ),
raid lead/ raid assist for 10 and 25 man content
an Officer within the alliance Guild
Familiar with all the usual addons that most people use in the game
Familiar with mumble ( it is what my Swtor Guild usues ) but have Vent/Team speak downloaded due to ' pugging ' raids and groups have used these voice programs

Currently I am an Officer within my Swtor Guild
Played since Beta dropped
Only Guild I have joined in Swtor
Currently ' assistant ' GM ( acting ) of Guild in Swtor due to GM being sent overseas for a year
Swtor Guild currently has 156 members/456 toons ( we have an alt Guild due to character restrictions in the game being 500max per Guild )
Do not raid in Swtor but sub when needed in HM/NiM content as either healer/dps ( several toons )
I run an Open Raid on Monday nights within the Guild
Guild has active website with hundreds of threads concerning various topics ( art, music, RL cooking recipes, people's Pet thread etc)

What I am looking for within a WoW Guild:
Mostly 21+ community, not demeaning those of our younger generation but usually 21+ communities have less drama
Willing to accept lower level characters ( I just got back into WoW earlier this week ) so it will be some time before I hit 80
Currently leveling a Prot Pally / Hunter but will create a Resto Druid soon ( How I miss " Tree " form )
I have no issue with lengthy or intricate applications or apprenticeship periods ( we have the same set up for the Swtor Guild)

If anyone has any questions/concerns, feel free to PM me within this site. I hope to find a ' home ' soon as playing solo in a MMO rather sucks :)

I am posting the information concerning the ' TrueWow ' server within the website of my Swtor Guild because many of our members came from either WoW, Rift, EQ etc and are MMO gaming enthusiasts.

Happy Hunting to all,

Richard, aka ' Cal '

Calabarak ( prot pally )
CalaKitara ( hunter )

yes, big David Eddings and Hickman/Weiss fan

I doubt you can find a guild with mostly people above that age, but I would suggest Divinity or Inquisition.

I know Inquisition on Alliance side had an 18 year old limit back on Bloodcraft, before we merged with TrueWoW. I don't think that requirement is still there, but it's a guild I'd recommend nonetheless.

Yes, I know there is a special place in Hell for me.
It's called a Throne.

Don't expect too much maturity though, just saying.

like belt states, don't expect too much maturity, but if you wish to join inquisition, whisper someone from our guild, and ask for an officer or for me, blackluster.

I am a Democrat, was in the Army for 15 years, a Flyers' fan ( NHL ) and Eagles' fan ( NFL ) --- I can accept a limited amount of immaturity :)

kek'd. I still have flashbacks with my father raging over some trivial Guild Wars drama on vent..

Also, why does everyone assume you're Alliance? O.o

(I might have misread but eh) In case you are Horde, join Frostwolf Clan (ask someone from the guild to invite you), it's pretty tidy and mature.

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay. I have somewhat bad news for you, this is a game and there will always be someone lying to you about their age, even if there was a guild with +21 age limit then well, it could still fail. Anyways hope you get what you are searching for, cheers mate!

I'd say that trying is the best one can do in order to higher themselves from the people crying and only complaining. Whilst you try, it doesn't mean it is always going to be the most successful result but I'd like to think that it is still a better choice than standing idle.
