New Orgrimmar: Behind the Battle
New Orgrimmar: Behind the Battle

The Siege
As I watch over our new domain, I realize that the effort of my Horde brothers and I have not gone unrewarded. The initial siege of the city went relatively unchallenged, but as time progressed, its former inhabitants became increasingly aggressive toward us, as was to be predicted. However, our forces managed to keep them at bay for some time.
A few days pass and the Alliance has finally roistered gathered the nerve to rally against us. Our soldiers were caught off-guard and we suffered a significant blow. King Ragnorak quickly launched an offensive with the aid of Grand Crusader Genocyde, Chaosbolt and myself. Our victory was short-lived as we found ourselves surrounded by many a Rogue, Hunter and Paladin. It seemed we had under-estimated the integrity of the Alliance.
Despite our bitter and tragic defeat, King Ragnorak mustered a small army of able bodied warriors to aid our cause. We made our way through the mountaintops and came to a landing. We lost few men along the route, Junkstar being counted among the fallen. As we came to a ledge, Chaosbolt, King Ragnorak and I began summoning the remaining soldiers we had left. We dropped in by air, striking at the heart of Stormwind itself. With "King" Varion out of the way, there would be little resistance against us. After a fierce battle we emerged victorious, with zero casualties from our side. It was not long before we laid waste to the remaining Alliance forces. Fortunately, we were forced to cull its citizens. We could not risk another attack from the inside. This time, we took the city and held it. King Ragnorak began summoning forces to our new city, I got to work on remapping. We've taken to calling our new domain 'New Orgrimmar' in hopes it will someday be as glorious, maybe even transcend its father-city.
It has been quiet for the past few days, there have been a few rebellions from the Alliance, but nothing our soldiers can't handle. As I watch over the Valley of Fail, it becomes evident there is still much to do. Possibly a colour change, and we'll definitely have to do something about those banners.
For the glory of the Horde!
For the glory of King Ragnorak!
Long live New Orgrimmar!

I really enjoyed reading and the picture was perfect with the story. I hope to see updates on this! Really good job!
Re: New Orgrimmar: Behind the Battle
Calling someone from the Horde a king
Re: New Orgrimmar: Behind the Battle
Warchief Ragnorak might be more appropriate, and Valley of Fail? I doubt that really fits in, how about the Valley of Dominance? Coming from your perspective of course....
As a tribute to the Horde heroes who died zerging and whatnot, and a scorn to the Alliance lugnuts who died in the fray.
