They can be silenced when they cast. It is only after the cast they go after a player.

Interesting topic, I do understand it's Locus PvE specs. I just want to give some advice for certain specs. I know that each player specs the way they feel comfortable with, I will just explain, in my opinion, why certain talents are better than others.

Protection Paladin:
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin ... a-e3,12213

- Protection tree:

Spiritual Attunement (1/2) - Since Divie Plea will be up almost all the time and you gain 2% mana from Sanctuary when parry, block, and dodge it's not that necessary to put 2 talent points on it.

- Retribution tree:

Improved Judgements (1/2) - Putting two points on this talent simple breaks the rotation of protection paladin, meaning breaking the rotation equals less aggro.

Heart of the Crusader (3/3) - It's a very good de-buff for DpS in general. If a Retribution already has it , then I would simply say to put the three points on Benediction.

Conviction (3/5) - Pretty simple, the more critical you have the more aggro have you but it would depend on RNG (Random Number Generator). If there ins't a Retribution with Vindication would be better to take 2 points on it and the third one maybe in Benediction. The less damage you take overall better for you and the healers.

Pursuit of Justice (2/2) - Very good talent for mobility which in most bosses, in every instance, it's necessary.

Crusade (3/3) - This talent is in every way better then Seals of the Pure. It gives 3% more damage to every attack and plus 3% damage to humanoids, demons, undeads and elementals. If you are raiding, for example, Ulduar, ToC, or ICC, this talent gives a total of 6% more damage with every attack.

I had this build on my Tankadin on my previous server, as a main tank. I read a lot about it and tested many of the talents. One thing about Tankadins is that they can pull off a pretty good DpS despite being a tank.

Death Knight Blood Tank:
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?deathkn ... SOe3,12213

- Blood tree:

Death Rune Mastery (3/3) - A must be for Blood tanks. It's possible to get up to 4 Death Runes up from 2 from the other specs.

Hysteria (1/1) - A great raid buff! Even more if a Warrior or a Feral druid are buffed by it.

Improved Blood Presence (2/2) - Great talent since you will be using Frost Presence for aggro. As Blood tank, any heal is good as any. 1 point on it is good as well.

- Frost tree:

Improved Icy Touch (3/3) - An aggro talent. Really depends if you are having problems with aggro or not. If you are confortable with your aggro, can spend those three talents on Virulence.

- Unholy tree:

Ravenous Dead (3/3) - More Strenght means more aggro and more parry. More parry means more chance for Spell Deflection to proc.

There are three talents on your spec that I don't aggre. Here's why:

Subverion (2/3) - it just adds 6% more critical for two abilities. If you are looking for more aggro, take the points on Improved Icy Touch.

Scent of Blood (3/3) - A 15% chance to get 10 Runic Power after parry, dodge or direct damage ins't that good. In 3.3.5 the end-game talents and gear has been less dependent to RNG (Random Number Generator) so there are better points to spend on. Also, as tanking on raids runic power won't be a problem.

MIght of Mograine (3/3) - As a blood tank your critical ins't that high. So there's actually no reason to take this talent since you rarely hit a critical. Best to spend points somewhere else.

I think these eight points could be more useful in other talents.

Shadow Priest:

You spec is quite good but more orientated to low level geared characters. At high level of gear (4 parts of Tier 10) some talents would be better spent elsewhere for better DpS. The explanation below:

http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?priest# ... JeqR,12213

- Shadow tree:

Improved Mind Blast (0/5) - Obtaining four parts of Tier 10, having the second set bonus, Mind Blast will be used less. As a result of the set bonus, Mind Flay's channel and periods are reduced. In a simple way, Mind Flay becomes better then Mind Blast so having this talent would only break the rotation.

Focused Mind (2/3) - As high level gear goes having three points here won't be that necessary. Even more if using Glyph of Shadow Word: Pain.

- Discipline tree:

Improved Power Word: Fortitude (2/2) - To move on to the next tier, this talent would be the best to put the two remaining talents. Especially if there aren't no priests on the raid.

Inner Focus (1/1) - Great talent used with Mind Flay. It will increase the critical on each periodic damage of Mind Flay by 25%. So another talent to increase DpS. Also, can be used with Divine Hymn to help out the raid when needed.

Meditation (3/3) - A great talent for healers and casters. Shadow Priest's mana-regen ins't low and while having some while casting is better for your DpS. Some players would say that you could use Hymn of Hope or Dispersion but that means you have to stop to gain mana hence lossing DpS. Nevertheless, Dispersion should be used as a defensive CD even in PvE. The Shadow Priest's pet is actually used in evey CD for more DpS as well.

I have read about talents, theorycrafted, tested it, almost everything to know about these three classes (few others as well) and have played them for quite sometime, hehe. I guess that's why there are guides out there, to get to know your class better. In my opnion it makes the game more fun.
Just keep in mind, these are words of advice. Not telling anyone to follow it. As I said before each player chooses how they play and how they will have fun. Hurra!

I don't agree with you on several points:
Death Rune Mastery (3/3) - A must be for Blood tanks. It's possible to get up to 4 Death Runes up from 2 from the other specs.
It only converts Unholy and Frost Runes to Death ones, and I find Unholy and Frost runes the most useful (because of Death Strike and Icy Touch) so it comes up as useless.

I agree that Ravenous Dead is great because of the parry and strength, though I usually changed it with Morbidity for when I wanted to tank adds or rhcs since it's hard to tank groups without it.
More Death Coils means more aggro, also, since runic power tends to get depleted because of Rune Strike, its useful to have it regenerate much faster to be able to use certain cds whenever you want to (Icebound Fortitude for example). Also, I noticed that without it, sometimes there isn't enough runic power for some rune strike casts (I had it macroed to all abilities)
MIght of Mograine (3/3) - As a blood tank your critical ins't that high. So there's actually no reason to take this talent since you rarely hit a critical. Best to spend points somewhere else.
That talent increases dps quite a bit, and since I didn't choose Hysteria or your other talents, I had points to put there. And Icy Touch generates more aggro, but these talents generate more dps than Improved Icy Touch.
Improved Blood Presence (2/2) - Great talent since you will be using Frost Presence for aggro. As Blood tank, any heal is good as any. 1 point on it is good as well.
I found the heals too weak to be worth it.
Protection Paladin:
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin ... a-e3,12213
I disagree in that you put a lot of talents on Retribution (like Crusade, etc) while not putting any on Seals of the Pure. I believe that SotP is more dps-optimal than all the other talents on retribution. And I don't find Pursuit of Justice worth its talent points but that's personal opinion. I also like DIvinity because it improves healing done on you. I get your point, though, and you may be right on this one.

And about Priests, there have been discussion about dropping Mind Blast or not. I didn't drop it from my rotation, though if one does indeed drop it, your spec is better.
And even if the tier bonuses improve Mind Flay, high numbers of spell power benefit Mind Blast more than they do Mind Flay, so it's not easy to choose.

Anyway, thanks for the post, better to have some discussion. Good to know some people put thought in their talents. (and better for the others that read the thread so they don't have only 1 opinion)

Agreed. I tested mine as well, but anyways, the differences between your specs and mine are not that many and both seem viable options (you may be right on several points as well)- I prefer that before some players that while having a great gs, have horrific talents (certain retribution paladins without Seals of the Pure come to mind).

What the? why 1/2 in spiritual attunement?! 2/2 is a must. and wtf you need 2/2 in judgements cause that will ruin your rotation... benediction is a waste too, what's the point of reducing mana cost of spells when you get mana topped up from heals and divine plea all the time...?

Oops, I forgot to note that while writing the previous answer.

EDIT2: Added Enh Shaman to the list.
Cover25 wrote:I think http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?hunter# ... efN,,12213 would be a better SV Hunter spec. I briefly tried SV and failed horribly as i didnt know what to do.
Late answer, but:
Trap Mastery is useless for PvE.
Improved Aspect of the Hawk is actually good DPS-wise (especially with the glyph) since the "filler" attack is Steady Shot.
Focused Aim for the same thing
Resourcefulness is good for DPS because of it's reduction of Black Arrow cd, but I chose Imp. Aspect of the Hawk over it.
Expose Weakness 3/3 is not needed because the number of crits mean that the buff is always active even with only 2 points on it.

Spiritual Attunement (2/2) isn't a must. Maybe for RHCs but not for raids. Even as an off-tank you won't go out of mana, assuming that you are using the right abilities at the right time.

There is a rotation for Protection Paladins, and it's called 9 6 9 6 9 (yes, pretty weird name). This is not something I came up with, I've read about it. It's pretty effective in matter of aggro and DpS. If you want I can explain more about it to you.

If you didn't notice, the one point in Benediction is used to move forward to the next tier not actually to help you with the mana. You get enough mana from Divie Plea, BoS, and 1 point in Spiritual Attunement. That 1 point is better of there than the other talent, Improved Blessing of Might.

You may choose to play that way but for me there are better talents. I wouldn't be discussing here if I didn't know the spec. I've played Protection Paladin ever since TBC to WotLK 3.3.5 and I'm not braging here, just explaining. This is how I've played based on facts to back me up. As I've said before, don't need to follow this if you think I'm wrong, it's just some advises.

Question (curiosity), which is your character's name?
Also, your spec uses Guardian's Favor, which is useless. I forgot to post that earlier.

Not sure, it increases Periodic damage of black arrow by 30% which sounds like it would help alot in PVE.

Not a lot, Black Arrow is not often active. But yes, ok, It's not useless :P
Also, removed the ill-advised points on Imp. Bom from the spec.

@ Peithne, I think that the periodic damage of Black Arrow only increases if the target is under the effects of an immolation or explosive trap.

@ Locus, why does your shaman not have cleanse spirit? Lol.. I'd most definitely get that.
Also, for enhancement, I prefer to choose the talent in Ele tree that reduces CD on shock spells.
