Yesterday , a 20% reduction on all damage caused by players was applied in all PvP grounds & PvP world .
This Nerf is supposed to help in balancing the PvP experience until players farm more resilience gear.
Now Players , it's your job to go ahead and do as many Battlegrounds & Arenas as you can , test the Nerf and give us Feedback.
Don't be hasty to complain on it being low , remember that you will be farming more resilience gear as the PvP becomes more active , so it's up to you keeping it alive.
Hopefully this will make Arenas more active as well which is our most critical goal here.

However, There is one item that should cost less which is [Sublime Mystic Dawnstone], a gem that gives 10 Resil and costs 54500 honor points . should cost either 6885 or 8500 honor points (like the other gems sold from that same vendor).
It's a crucial gem for PvPers.
Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

You could easily reduce the prices of the rare pvp gear, atleast the armor pieces. They simply arent good enough to be worth that much honor. If you wanted to buy the entire 5 piece set, it would cost you over 200k honor, and you can get better gear from level 70 normals (minus the resilience, ofc). The weapons arent amazing either, and lowering their prices might get people to do more BGs on their alts or otherwise fresh 70s.
I bet that even if you reduced the prices by 50%, not too many people would buy them unless it was for an alt or an offspec.
Havent tested PVP with the damage reduction yet, ill post feedback once I do.
EDIT: You could also lower the price of the pvp trinket (or perhaps offer one from a call to arms quest or something), but I feel like 8K isnt too bad. BGs are just that much more enjoyable when you have one.

Erm, isn't 20% a bit too much?
I remember all the Omegawow PvPers" bitching because there was a -20% damage reduction in place until it was removed.
20% Was enough to render full Shadowmoron TSGs managable and I've beaten full SM Wf Warr-Palas as a relentless geared rogue.
I know 2013 Omegawow S8 =/= PrimalWow "S1" but still, my 2 cents.

Honor prices are too high given the rate at which we get active pvp on this server. You can't pvp daily with any real consistency, and even then much of it is miserable 2v2 or 3v3. The honor cost is meant to be a factor of the time put in to earn them, but if if takes 2-3x as long because of the minimal pvp available then the costs should be lowered. Anyone would be very lucky to get 1 piece a week at this rate.
And I'm still horribly confused as to why we have access to 41 point side talents.
Also, I feel the 20% isnt enough at this point.

It isnt the same at all, not because its a different server or year but because we are lvl 70s and not 80s. Blizzard only cared about balancing max lvl pvp (with good reason in my opinion), and technically we arent max level. We are lvl 70 twinks in wotlk. Not at all , do some BGs man...
Today i literally got 2 shotted by a Ret pala and while i had over 120 Resil + the 20% nerf ,same thing happend again vs enh shaman a few mins after.
I was even thinkin about requesting a 50% nerf instead of 20% but i trust that the resil will compensate soon enough.
Sure we can cancel it in the future ,say after S4 is released. we'll see.

I recommend that you make a list of all the pvp pieces that you think require a cost reduction on bugtracker.
Should be like this :
Marshal helm - #current cost -#desired cost
Marshal weapon - #current cost -#desired cost

.
When you're done , add the bugtracker link here and i'll have a look at it and dicuss it with the staff.
You can also make a poll about it to see what others have to say , if everyone's in favor , it will probably get accepted.
Bottom line - if you want things done here , you have to present a worthy arguement.

You just gave your own argument... Res is meant to counter people with pve gear from raping others in pvp, but if it takes months to get enough gear to matter then what's the point in trying.
I see nothing wrong with allowing easy entrance into pvp. which almost entirely means gear enough to have fun and play the objectives in BG's, it hurts no one but the fragile ego's of those that want to rip through people and gy farm all day.

I literally check the status page to see if there are any Bgs happening and not log in if not; I cba to farm PvE shizz.
Lastly, a 50% nerf will kill rogue in terms of damage so be careful what you wish for.
PS: Is self healing/healing/pet healing acceptable at the moment? Damage reductions indirectly buff off-healing specs and healers so healing might need a nerf too.

Bgs are semi active these days (about 30 bgs day since the nerf was applied) . idk at what times you play.

Great (that BGs are happening now) and -20% should be enough to make retardins cry regardless.
