Tournament 1v1

Hello guys...
I was thinking to organize the "Tournament 1v1" , but we can't organized without gms. (Frankly, if some random guy make tournament of that has nothing, and gms have to resets cds). So lf can GMs make post on forum and call peopls to join. ofc for 1st,2nd and 3rd place server to assign a consolation prize (for example) :
1st- 5.000g and 10k Honors+250 AP
2nd-2.500g and 5k Honors. +100 AP
3rd- 1000g and 2,5k Honors+50 AP....


Its pvp server and i think that the tournament was the right thing.

1v1 tournament doesn't make sense. Every class has a class that can whoop them. If you want to see people doing 1v1, go to dalaran sewers and watch people duel.

You're free to make a 1v1 tournament on your own but GMs won't be giving anyone AP or honor (or gold) as prizes for winning.

Do it on skirmishes to reset cd's, you could queue 2v2 with a friend just to watch and record maybe, or make sure no one is win trading.
Its true 1v1 is unbalanced but this is just a tournament for fun, would be very interesting.

Esunna's idea is pretty nice. You could also organize one of them 5v5 skirmishes and go 1v1 there. The 1st team to kill all enemy players in consecutive 1v1's wins. Or just go to STV arena and do a "last man standing wins".
The posibilities are endless, however on a blizzlike server you cant expect GMs to organize nor give prises for such things. And without somebody monitoring the event, there will always be some asshole to ruin it for everybody else.
Finaly, 1v1 can truely be pretty unbalances and probably some restrictions have to be made to prevent people from playing healers or have DK clickers do ams, garga, army of skill in order backpedal their way to the top.

1v1 is not balanced, hence a tourney in it would be pointless. I mean yes you can have some "fun" etc, but wow isn't built to be balanced around 1v1, hence in reality it would be meaningless. WoW isn't even balanced around 2v2, hence the faceroll comps like warr/hpal, rogue/priest etc that you have in there, that have an advantage over most other comps. Blizz realized that arena was one of the shittiest things they ever did and they tried to balance it towards 3v3, but let's be honest, even that ain't balanced. The only reason 2v2 was popular, was because you only needed 1 other person besides you to be online at the same time. It's obviously harder to get 2 or 4 other ppl on at the same time. You won't even find balance in wow's pvp in rated bgs, cos even there you have certain comps. No wonder it's not an e-sport and doesn't even have proper tourneys, it's not taken srsly, cos it's always been primarily a pve game and pvp was added on with several fails, later on. Great potential for it, but not realized fruitfully.
