Frame Add ons

#1 » Post by Evelynn » 03 Oct 2010 03:55

I was wondering if anyone has found some other simple frame addons, the one i use now is squid frames. which, is cool and all. but it doesn't have a lot of... variation. for an alt whore like myself. And i cant seem to find any others out there that don't have a ton of other stuff that goes with it. If anyone's got anything, id really appreciate a link or two.

Back in the day, I used x-perl. very nice, very versitile. Sorry was too lazy to look up the link, but I saw it posted on one of the other UI pages. Make sure if you do try it out you get the proper version (not the 4.x.x)

I use lots of Addons so I'll post a pic that shows a few.. Tell me which ones u want and I'll tell you the name.. then u just go to Curse.com and search for it... since it'll prolly be updated to cataclysm dont worry.. find the Addon official site or w/e.. I think all the versions of it are there..

Shadowed Unit Frames, Pitbull, MoveAnything, and X-perl can all be very nice, depending on what you're looking for.

Xperl is a little outdated, but some people still swear by it.

SuF is pretty simple to setup, looks nice, and has plenty of customization options.

Pitbull is the powerhouse. If you really need full customization, this addon is your best bet.

I love xperl although now that I'm using vuhdo for deep healing I don't use other party/raid frames. I'm also using IceHUD now, so I may get rid of my player frame completely. Definitely recommend xperl though for 90% of people.

Xperl FTW. I tried Pitbull but it couldn't do everything I wanted it to do after I searched all config options. Don't ask me what Pitbull didn't do for me, it's too long ago when I tried. Xperl isn't outdated at all.

You can use Bartender at the same time like I do...

Xperl is kind of hard to customize i was using it just becuz it shows the full raid group but now i found an addon for that -Grid- so using Shadowed now as z said its pretty simple and its only 1 addon file.

Xperl is nice and Vuhdo for healing for sure. But i use LUI 4.0 on Cata, it's the same really except has all the new little bits and pieces and what not, but you can download it for 3.3.5 It's very customisable with info text and all that, you can also disable or modify the inbuilt modules like plates, bags, frames etc.etc.

I only downloaded it for tanking as i can place my aggro metre and stuff easy. But in saying that, depends on your class role in a way.
