Vanilla Login Screen Replacement - PrimalWoW
Vanilla Login Screen Replacement - PrimalWoW
As the title says, this is a simple login screen replacement targeted mostly at PrimalWoW seeing as it's currently in Vanilla phase.
What it does is it replaces WotLK login screen (the one showing Icecrown with Sindragossa flying and roaring) as well as the music with Vanilla WoW version login screen and music.
Install Instructions:
Simply put patch-z.mpq in your WotLK/Data folder (same folder as common.mpq, common-2.mpq etc)
If you have any problems feel free to ask.
I also plan on making similar replacement with TBC login screen once Primal enters TBC phase.

Re: Vanilla Login Screen Replacement - PrimalWoW
Well its nice of you that you started doing such thing since its via *MPQ, but l must point out an existing option but which require Java.
Example:
More info: http://www.ac-web.org/forums/showthread ... en-Tweaker
Working download link: http://drive.google.com/file/d/0B95eGx0 ... m55aU1RUHM
Must have Java in order to work: http://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/downlo ... eId=211997
How to get it work:
0. Turn off WoW, download and install Java if you dont have.
1. Download Screen switcher from GDrive link l gave here.
2. Unpack it into WoW folder.
3. Right click WoWBgTweaker_v3.0.jar and Open with... Java.
4. From here, everything is plain simple.
Notice that switching theme does have impact on starting up WoW.....TO BETTER!
Default Wotlk theme is slowest of them all and switching to TBC or Vanila or any racial theme does improve speed.
However, having no theme is best and fastest

I'd never trust unknown java software, especially russian one. Also that doesn't give you proper logo or music either.

Thank you for this Belthasar.
Friggin hate the noisyness (and the completely pointless dragon animation) of the WotLK client loginscreen.

That is why we all have test machines. To check program before we tell others about it.Belthasar wrote:I'd never trust unknown java software, especially russian one.
What logo you mean? And it let you select yourself which music you want to hear which is nice since you can pick original yourself or something else that fits like WC3 music. Also that doesn't give you proper logo or music either.

Re: Vanilla Login Screen Replacement - PrimalWoW
Answer is YES and there is BUT. But you need to find in which .MPQ file all those loading pictures are and replace them with same name blank files. Problem is there is a chance that they are not all in same file so you need to search all 16GB of .MPQs.kermo14k wrote:Is there any way to do this for the loading screens aswell? Work in end is as easy as http://www.truewow.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 02&t=16614 but you really need to find their locations.
