/holdem - this lets you open a table as a dealer
/holdem dealers - this looks for players on the server that have a table open
/holdem dealer Name - this lets you join a table hosted by another player on the server (use above command to find their name)
I have a table open by typing /holdem.
You join it by typing /holdem dealer Regent
Note: No party or raid group is required. You can join a table from anywhere. You don't even have to be in range of each other.
In the corners of the table window, you will see the names of the players who are playing, the amount of chips they have and the actions they selected during the round (check, call, fold, etc).
he flashing elite mob border around any player's portrait indicates that it is currently their turn.
In the middle of the table, you see the current cards dealt out by the dealer.
Directly under that, you have a set of action buttons that let you decide on your next move for the current round.
Under the buttons, the table shows a dialogue box which shows what kind of hand you currently have and it announces whoever wins the current round when it's over.
The dealer must hit the play button in the bottom right corner to start the next round.
---
WARNING: DO NOT doube click / rapidly click the play button (as dealer) on the bottom of the table window, it will bug out. Click it once. If it doesn't work, just click it once again. Once it bugs out, YOU CANNOT recover the current game and will have to host a new table and start over with new chips.
---
If you want to edit any of the settings, go to interface options -> Addons -> WoW Texas Hold'em and edit them there.
The settings allow you to change the amount of chips you start with on a table hosted by you.
You can change the artwork on the cards (options are Neutral, Alliance, Horde and Original).
And you can also set the starting blind as well as increments at which it increases per round.
By default settings, the game lets you have 500 imaginary chips to start playing with opening blinds of 20 and a 20% increase on blinds per round.
You can play with up to 8 people on a table.
The goal is to win by eliminating all the opponents on the table until they are all out of chips or they quit.
You can bluff, play smart, etc or just play for fun and learn as you go if you're new to this.
