View distance beyond settings?

#1 » Post by Fastor » 21 Feb 2015 12:48

Ok this is my regular wow on max settings:

This is when l use Tool that is able to remove Fog:

And this is when l force view distance on max possible by tool:

Ok tool is called legal on some topic few months back so that part is np. My problem is while it works, both Tool and Wow are crashing terrible. Only where l can use it long time without crash are Kalimdor and dungeons.

Now l am aware of lot talk about this on other forums and 90% of them ended in nothing. But after 20 of them l menaged to find out this tool so its progress.

Question is, can anyone tell me stable solution to keep huge View distance and no Fog?
Please check if your answer is for WOTLK before post any.

Seen some guy using it on (cataclysm I think?) some other expansion where he could even see GM island xD

I'd say that trying is the best one can do in order to higher themselves from the people crying and only complaining. Whilst you try, it doesn't mean it is always going to be the most successful result but I'd like to think that it is still a better choice than standing idle.

Older .exe have limits on RAM usage, there are tools that can increase this (had to do it when I was modding an older game) - but I am unsure if this is the cause of the problem, always worth a try though :P

@SyntaxError
K gonna try it, remove my ban if l get it with it :P

@Longi

Nah, l flew multiple times over unfinished areas, non of them are gave problems. Even Strateholme (disaster area :P) didnt gave problems.

Most of time what cause crash is loading screen to different area. Example Kalimdor to NR, NR to Ekingdoms, Ekingdoms to Dungeons.

I think blizz just added the fog so we don't see the horrible stark contrasts of colours between zones... Azeroth looks like a damn paint palette.

Apart from fog, sky, clouds and everything have special color for each zone.

Example with this program, l load Ungoro with Helfire setup. Oh yea baby. And Dalaran with Winterspring is cool.
