"Soothsaying for Dummies" - the book does not work so cannot change engineering specialisation.

To change Engineering specialisation, you travel to the house on the hill in Steamwheedle port. Inside is Narain Soothfancy and there is a book on the table called "Soothsaying for Dummies", You click on the book called "Soothsaying for Dummies", and for a price of 150 gold, you have unlearned whichever engineering skill you have. Click on the book again and you can choose the different engineering skill.

However this does not work

It's a known thing, it's the same for the other professions (such as leatherworking).

Reported on Trinity here, no fix yet.

You can write a ticket and ask a GM to unlearn the spell for you if you really want.
Why join the winning side if you can change the winner?

Ye there's a lot of things wrong with,

ye the book is not scripted, did look at this before but found there was same problems as with other profession specializations

1) If you change upon relog you get old specialization back and end up with both specializations at same time, this occurs if scripted or if gm casts spells to unlearn and learn new specialization, reason for this is that spell casts which are rewards from quests get recast at login, so only way of doing this would be remove quest, which would have to be done via db since if gm removes quest, its only temporary and quest will be marked as completed again at relog.
2) When you unlearn specialization all recipes which needed that specialization should be unlearned and you have to learn new ones and of course if you change back you have to learn all the recipes again.
