Herbalism

#1 » Post by Aequitas » 05 Oct 2010 21:29

I'm not sure if this is the case in many other zones but there seems to be no herb respawn or at least an extraordinarily slow respawn time in the zones of Stranglethorn Vale and Duskwood. I spent a good while in the Barrens collecting herbs with no problems but as soon as I got to Stranglethorn Vale, I could hardly find any herbs. I checked out Duskwood and the same was true there. In total I believe I found about 5 nodes after completing 2 full rounds of the map.

Then why does the Barrens make it look like they grow like weeds. I would think the problem would be greater in a lower lvl zone. Does this bug only effect certain zones or has it already been fixed there?

Actually I've found a way around the absence of herbs, at least in Azeroth. There are still plenty of zones that provide more than enough to lvl but outland and northrend is another matter. Still very doable but very difficult and time consuming.

It is ofc doable. Its still alot of smaller amount of herbs especially in outlands/northrend compering to retail.

I'm herbalist and alchemist, and I can raise my skills just fine... look for me at Armory, you'll see it all.

I've been having the same problem. I just walked around Teldrassil for an hour and haven't found one herb. Very difficult to up my herbalism and alchemy. Anyone found good solutions to this? On the server that I was on before this it was much simpler to find herbs. Pretty sure I didn't have to walk around for an hour to find nothing.

To level the herbalism from 300 skill in OL i sugest the "skinable" beasts in north-eastern edge of zangarmarsh. They increase the herbalism a lot an they drop herbs for alch, and after 325 you can go around in Zangar and se for other herbs
In northrend u have to look sharply but u can manage to find.
I personaly left OL with 360-370 skill and gathered enough to lvl up alch and herba (in alchemy the transmutation-s can be a very profitable resource-s if u have a JC friend.
