I know that already. But there's no proof that it's 100% in wotlk..kermo14k wrote:Trinket drop isn`t 100% in mop if you read the previous posts..
@double/triple same items dropping, I think it was possible in vanilla, not sure about wotlk tho. I've never seen it at least once in my retail wotlk raids.

I couldn't find any reliable sources to confirm this either.
Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
From my experience on other 2 servers that had halion working, the trinket dropped often, but way less then it does on TW.
The servers i'm talking about didn't have everything x1. was more like x6.
Just a question. but doesn't atlasloot 3.3.5a has drop tables? i don't use the addon myself^^

From my experience trinket drop almost in every raid where I'm with my play character. The drop rates from the trinkets are:
Charred Twilight Scale - 27%
Sharpened Twilight Scale - 27%
Glowing Twilight Scale - 21%
Petrified Twilight Scale - 22%
After checking few sources nowhere was written that trinket should drop every run. And I tested it in 5 fights I got 2 trinkets which is really good.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
I'll just say this, from a total 365 recorded Halion 25n kills a total of 356 trinkets dropped according to wowhead thats almost a 97% drop rate lol, so there might be some validity to the claim a trinket is guaranteed to drop per kill, due to it being on a sub loot table similar to tier tokens.
Question is what the overall kill vs drop record on TW is at but then again it might be too early to rely on TW info as sample size is rather small atm.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
People seem to be getting a drop rate and server rates confused. Server rate doesn't change the drop rate at all. Something can be a 0.02% drop rate on a 100x server but that item is most likely still not going to drop unless you are really lucky. The cool thing about a 1x server is you are less likely to get the same shit over and over again making it an every class run most of the times. And no the scales are not supposed to drop every run blizz or no blizz.

I don't know how much of a proof this might be (it's from TBC, but I guess it hasn't changed ever since)

For Halion 25m it would look a bit like this:
[hide]Pool A -> 4 items with equal droprate
Charred Twilight Scale - 27%
Sharpened Twilight Scale - 27%
Petrified Twilight Scale - 22%
Glowing Twilight Scale - 21%
Pool B -> 4 items with equal droprate
Cloak of Burning Dusk - 24%
Bracers of Fiery Night - 21%
Umbrage Armbands - 19%
Signet of Twilight - 28%
Pool C -> 8 items with equal droprate
Penumbra Pendant - 14%
Phaseshifter's Bracers - 13%
Split Shape Belt - 14%
Returning Footfalls - 12%
Foreshadow Steps - 14%
Apocalypse's Advance - 10%
Treads of Impending Resurrection - 10%
Ring of Phased Regeneration - 10%[/hide]
I'm pretty certain this is how Blizzard did it.
Why is it never explicitly mentioned anywhere? I guess it has become common knowledge.
EDIT:
After reverse engineering Black Wolf Mercenaries (wotlk retail guild) dkp loot lists I have come up with this.
This is a very small sample though. But I will continue investigating when I have more time. (Not many wotlk guilds with logs like this have raided RS, so it seems )
I assumed Heroic and Normal modes are the same as well.
1) Every time a trinket dropped
2) Certain items seclude other items leading to these pools:
Pool A:
Charred Twilight Scale
Sharpened Twilight Scale
Petrified Twilight Scale
Glowing Twilight Scale
Pool B:
Split Shape Belt
Bracers of Fiery Night
Phaseshifter's Bracers
Foreshadow Steps
Ring of Phased Regeneration
Pool C:
Threads of Impending Resurrection
Returning Footfalls
Signet of Twilight
Are in the same pool of each other:
Apocalypse Advance
Umbrage Armbands
Penumbra Pendant -> I suspect this being in Pool C*
But not in the pool above:
Cloak of Burning Dusk -> I suspect this being in Pool B*
*For a nice 2 sub pools each containing 6 items.
Adding up the Wowhead percentages of each pool results in:
Pool A: 97%
Pool B: 96%
Pool C: 93%
So in conclusion:
There seem to be 3 pools.
Every subpool has his own individual item drop rate.
Only 1 item of each pool will drop everytime.
If you find any videos/logs of 25man kills, can you please add them here or check them with my list.
Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
Nyeriah, it's blizzlike to drop same items but it's not blizzlike to drop same trinkets, u can't get 2 same trinkets on the same boss in the same kill, about a month ago we killed Rot on 25hc, we got x2 DFO, this is not supposed to happen, u can get even x3 same loot, but not the same trinkets.Nyeriah wrote:"bug", TC devs say it's a blizzlike feature that at times two, or even three, of the same item dropPolkic wrote:The bug that sometimes happens and gives you 2x same item is something random in core and has nothing to do with the % drops of items and structure of loot that we set up in core, nothing special we can do about it for now.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
From my very old memory i believe the more than 1 of the same item only applied to some items like set tokens to exchange, regular armor drops. This makes me wonder if its allowed for rings and necks, as pointed that it might not be the case for trinkets. If not all item types should be able to drop multiple times from same boss, on same kill, i think it might not be even supported in core at all (or maybe its just simple grouping).
Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
like peace said before:
97+100+81+78=365=100% trink drop.
if we make an assumption that doubled drops are not present.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
Well, with these calculations and the picture presented above I think this is at least enough prove that trinkets have more than 27% chance to drop and we should've gotten more than 5 trinkets for our 13 kills.Relina wrote:I'll just say this, from a total 365 recorded Halion 25n kills a total of 356 trinkets dropped according to wowhead thats almost a 97% drop rate lol, so there might be some validity to the claim a trinket is guaranteed to drop per kill, due to it being on a sub loot table similar to tier tokens.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
Well if the drop rate is too low, then please don't change that. It will be like the new shadowmourne, everyone will have them and people will QQ like mad over xTS is PvP. Let them be "rare" and more unique, it's more fun in the long run.
I don't get why Wotlk players are so greedy and must have everything right away, no offense to anyone feeling hit by those words, but really it'll come to you eventually anyway. It's inevitable if you do RS every raid lock.

Re: Halion loot table is totally bugged
Seems like u already got RS trinket, and tbh, idgaf about loots, I'm doing 3 groups every week cuz Halion is my favourite encounter, I would rly like it to work blizzlike but also making the loot drop chance shitty as fck kinda ruins the blizzlike thingy.Naljs wrote:Well if the drop rate is too low, then please don't change that.
