I'm new to TruWow at least in this iteration.
I was member 46 if I remember correctly in the original TruWow.

I don't even remember how many years ago that was.

I'm downloading the new game files with WotLK and then will look for the patches.

Haven't played WoW in a long time.

I have beta tested almost every major MMO since Asheron's Call, but I didn't beta WoW.

I'm currently playing The Secret World, (a lot of fun) and I have accounts for Lord of the Rings Online, and Age of Conan.

My friend that I once played WoW with asked if I was interested in playing again, so that's why I'm here.
Once I get this working I'll set him up, I'm 74, he's 76.

So if all goes well we will be in the game soon, starting all over again, from scratch.
It's been a long time since I didn't have a maxed out character in WoW.

FACT - it's hard to notice any fast improvements regarding the population on x1 servers... IT IS X1 and many players around the world are avoding that.

FACT - even when population gets some kind of boost we, the 80's, will not notice any improvements for at least a month... Cuz it's x1 and it takes time to level your char. Maybe some weirdo will make it in few days but most of ppl will require at least 3-4 weeks.

Server is growing... and those ppl who leave soon will be back cuz simply there is no such server as this one

We do get new players on daily basis, and some of them keep leveling and logging in every day. We are working on new shiny things that should help increase the population, though I will not share any details for now, since some are in early concept stage. As you might already know, we are working on Recruit a Friend system and if all goes well, it should be available soon-ish.

The fact that TrueWoW has been on 3.3.5a patch for two years might have taken its toll, since WoW is based on progression, new patches/arena seasons/expansions/..., therefore decrease of population is understandable. Nevertheless, I think there is no need for negative remarks that could turn off the new potential players willing to join our server.

We as staffers can surely do several things to help increase the population, and like I said, we are working on some. However, do not forget that there is also a community of players keeping this server alive. If you as a community will keep positive attitude and show new players that TrueWoW's community is alive and active, I am sure more and more will join our ranks.

I also recover accounts every week. Old players that regret leaving or just want to come back and end up staying for a while.

Change won't be instantaneous, it will take time.

Reopened and cleaned. Any further attempt to start fights will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be punished.

On a different note, we used to have more 80s than we had lowbies. Now we have a ton more lowbies than we do 80s. The server is growing, just give it time to blossom.

I also notice a lot lower gear 80s around. Alts maybe yeah but some new people i see.
