lol fifth you should do some things here before saying anything :D

How will rest of ppl go to server with 3k ppl? It's still WOTLK and they wont be bored? Why? Cause population is high? = we need vote

Maelstorm is no more cause many of them wanted to go else and pulled a lot of ppl with them. Others just left guild and joined other one :)

It took you 30 min to join bg since you are horde and you have to get used to it. :D you know what i am talking about ;)

You should play arena insted of thinking that your mmr is too high cause we have arena seasons now. Everyone's mmr is reset back to starting mmr. 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5.\

1 guy you are good with is there since you left for long time and come back :) you haven't got chance to meet other good guys :D

All other i wana say vent told in: Inter's facts time! :D

It's all up to the people. Advertising, suggestions, bug reports, possibly writing fixes, voting. If you're not happy with something then just say what can be better but don't just think about yourself, also think what the people want who haven't joined this server yet. Being negative is no good, ever.

Fifth wrote:The fact is that this server is going to die in a year or so. Same happened with my old Tbc server ironically named 'Truwow', it died. Why? WOTLK killed it. Same thing is going to happen to this one. People will get bored with same content and gonna want to switch to Cata. Sad but true. The remainder that will still want to play wrath will go on major servers with 3k ppl. I came back two weeks ago to find that Maelstrom is no more, it took me 30 mins to get in a bg, my mmr was too high so no arena, only 1 guy i was good still played, so that was it for me. Sorry for being negative.

You're wrong !
if u notice what is happening ull notice that Roel & the Staff are trying to work on all thoses stuff u mentioned
we have arena seasons now , other realms to find the bugs on other bgs and maybe once fixed will be added to our realm :D
maelstrom isnt everything, tho it was the best, but that doesn't means they ddnt have flaws ...
WOTLK killed TBC... but i personally talked with some ppl cata, many don't like it, and pandaria ?
its gna mess retail more and more, so expect more players like there are retail players who came after cata came out

i kinda like the fact that were not an overpopulated server :)

I update the Facebook page everyday but it needs a bit more exposure... I need to conjure up some more advertising themes.... Overall i believe it is increasing in general.

Facebook exposure is reaching over 1,000 each week, a 100-200 increase every week as far as i can tell. Unique posts are down 16% however 4 days ago i boosted it to a whopping 147% for over a week and increased total virality of likes by 85% compared to now 14%. This was due to the exposure of it on the website which is now no longer as evident. Some more facts for you....

Those places have actually decreased. on xtremetop100 we held 41st for a week, and since then have dropped a bit but remaining stable never the less. As for top site list which never resets, we have moved from 64 to 46 in 3 weeks. Those two websites are the 'big kahunas' compared to most of the others.

I believe the main issue with voting is we can never guarantee if someone votes, that they do type in the security codes. If i had to take a guess, if 100 peopled voted a day, a website would only get about 40-50 max of those votes.

@Roel do you have a statistic of how many votes are recorded over a 24 hour basis?

OH and by the way, this better explains my obsessions with graphs/statistics etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaIGSOvjYec :D

Hi,I'm new to the sever but i gotta say this server will not die as long as the admin is active...and as far as i've seen...he is. The server from where i come from died because the admin was inactive and didn't care about the server anymore even if the staff and players were working hard...because as long as you don't have someone to update the core and apply fixes and such...then the server dies..I'm saying this because i was part of the staff on that server and the lack of interest brought the downfall of the server.

What i'm trying to say is Roel don't give up no matter what!!

Ty :P it doesn't matter how old the server is..i've played 4 years on that server and it still died :) it depends on how much the staff whises to invest in it and how much they still care.

This server is my home. I have stuck with it during the hackers and the opening of synergy. I have even played Cata but I always come back due to the community. I should do more to improve the population. Maelstrom unfortunately couldn't survive after the good raiders left. This is a great community it will bounce back for sure just give it time before we start jumping ship

This server has been my home for more than 1 year. I have not played much, but even when I was living in a different town (with my work) without my computer, I still used to find some time to log in when possible.

But the lack of population has gotten at me now. I just like instances too much, and I can not run them alone.

I do not believe that a hacker attack explains a drop in population from 700 to 150. I think what really happened is Cataclysm.

And yes, it is not at all like this Cataclysm would be so great, not to mention Pandaria, and is not like WotLK is suddenly boring now that Cataclysm showed up. WotLK is so great and fun !

It is more like a sort of social effect or psychological effect. When people do not see the latest major version number, they already conclude "the old stuff" is not even worth a try, and is not worth their time, so they no longer singup or login.

And really no one can blame them: who would want to start investing their personal free "quality time" in a brand new adventure with a new character on a new server, knowing they will forever be stuck in the past, doomed to be forgotten sooner or later ? Where is the "enthusiasm" in that ?

I believe some sort of "experimental" cataclysm realm, even if clearly stated on the web page as "not fully functional" or "test realm only", would give people exactly what they want to hear in order to "give it a try", and could save the server in the long run ...

Don't get me wrong, I used to vote every day twice a day (I have a scheduled task, or reminder, for this, both at work and at home; the Vengefull Nether Drake is worth it), and I think the GMs and administrative stuff here are great, but I do not want to play all alone ...

Thank you,
Timothy Madden
