I was encouraged to post an idea here. Since atlantiss´ cataclysm realm seems to be shutting down they negotiated transfers with tauriwow which will harbour remaining cata players. I can imagine that at least some cataclysm players would not want to continue with the MOP expansion, perhaps we can offer them transfer options to our wotlk realm. Tauriwow does have wotlk realms but there are literally 0 players.

We allready have a transfer system they can use.

what if some have already used the transfer? they are prohibited from transferring more chars from a closing server?

I know we all have limited time, however, it might be wise to take a step towards them saying "Hello, we are here and you have a place to stay here."

They're more than welcome to join us here. Both of our realms are open to everyone.
As far as being able to exceed the character limit on transfers, that's up to the current transfer manager (Natnat), the Administrators and the senior staff.
They COULD choose to make an exception for a closing server but that's their choice so I can't comment further on that.
However, until then, players are more than welcome to extend invitations to people to migrate here.

If they allready have transfers here, then they have allready come to this server. dont need to give extra transfer slots to people just because the server they allready moved away from is shutting down.

if they can move all chars to a blizzlike MOP server and just one char to a WOTLK blizzlike server u can bet which option they will choose. Anyways, I suggested the transfer to some folks on atlantiss...still I believe in situations like shutting down of a server there should be a common understanding in between all servers to allow transferring all chars from a closing server (u might consider that policy).

Wow, that would have been nice to have been able to transfer all of my chars, before they (dethpod?) shutdown, instead of starting over from the beginning. As I had my own guild and a char for most all of the needed professions.

But with everything working on this server and it's progression, I've enjoyed remaking my chars and seeing some new stuff.

Idk what the character limit is , if 2 , We might think doubling the limit not a bad idea at all, yes ?

We should cooperate and bring at least 1-2 new players!

I think I somewhat agree with Ras here, the case of server shutting down I would like to have transfer all my chars rather than 1 or 2. Can't imagine picking 2 from my account if god forbids this server is closing.
With exception of server closing I would welcome all chars if that within the realm of not-so-much burdern on transfer committee.
