Started on primal and everything was great & pretty a few months ago. I enjoyed the classic leveling part (I am unable to make a transfer from retail as I did not play since MoP) and the working RDF.
During the weekends groups got found after minutes, players knew their shit and I was happy rushing towards the outland.
Then TBC happened.
Since then I was able to manage 2 BRD runs. Stuck at L 52 I realised that all the nice people I met in the early game have been twinks (alts) of their bored main toons who could not further go vanilla progressing.
I said, feck it, I grind/quest my way up becaus I don´t give up easily. I am just wondering what TBC looks lke?
Are there RDF groups for non heroics? Or is everyone already in the rep grind to get their kara attunement and more....

Its new contents so you didnt miss much, as long as there are new characters there will be people to do dungeons raids and stuff

Re: I missed the hype train
I just finished leveling an alt. There were plenty of groups 60-65, a bit fewer 66-69 as people blew thru the last levels, and then plenty of non-heroic groups at 70. The exceptions are the Keepers of Time dungeons, as most people dont do the prequest until 70, and Arcatraz, which is hard on PUGs. Plan to do OHB and Arc with at least a guild core group.

Re: I missed the hype train
Currently have a pre-raid dps warrior. Just got a prot pally to 70 and my mage is 68. Those are two chars I will have to rep grind/gear out. As someone above stated as long as there are new chars (and people focusing on alts) there will be groups.
