Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Someone in game chat told me that RDF is broken. I think he said that if you don't have 3 or more players in your party, RDF will bug.
Can someone please confirm this and explain exactly what's going on?
Also, if it's broken, are there plans to try and fix it?
Thanks for your time.

Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Lies. I am on my 28 lvl and it is working properly. I queue alone for it and I am able to enter the instances with party gathered by RDF.
If you can't gather party for long time, it means that just not enough people for it. I have been queueing as DPS for two days and it resulted in 0 instances. I queued as a tank and entered instances in 10 minutes

Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Both are right. RDF works in general but it bugs out time to time. It will show you need tank, but tank is already in que for another party. GMs have power to reset it.
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Does anyone know if they had reset the RDF yet?
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
They reset it every now and again, there's a system message after every reset.henriquez1 wrote:Does anyone know if they had reset the RDF yet?
Best thing to do is just get 4 other people and queue up, if you're waiting alone in queue it means you don't really want a rdf, the way I see it.
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
Well believe this bug is linked to the bug at which last member to leave a rhc party has to relog before they can queue again or group does not get properly disbanded,
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
The RDF is bugged in several ways. The most notable bug (and IMHO the most heinously annoying) is that there's a surprisingly large number of dungeons that will not award you a completion upon finishing them (I've been trying to compile a list of them in memory, but I really need to get it on paper or a text file).
Dungeons such as...
Ragefire Chasm
Stockades
Maraudon
Temple of Atal'hakkar (Sunken Temple)
Blackrock Depths (all of them are bugged)
Underbog
Slave Pens
(Probably more, still testing)
I think Dire Maul might be bugged as well, not sure about the others. Might need to double check. The point is, these dungeons are all bugged as far as the RDF is concerned, and that is a major problem.
See, when you don't get the RDF completion upon killing the bosses, you don't get the dungeon rewards (no gold, XP, or bags). But what is worse than that is that the RDF still thinks the dungeon is not complete. This wouldn't be so bad except now that we have the Dungeon Deserter debuff (seriously, who's idea was it to implement DD when the RDF is bugged out of its mind like this? ) if you get sent to any of these dungeons it will give you the DD debuff when the dungeon is complete and you leave. Which means you have to wait half an hour before you can reque. Since it's hard enough to get a que for many of these levels in the first place, having the system axe one or more potential party members for half an hour is pretty horrible.
It's especially unplayable in the middling levels of 40s-50s, but given the range of bugged out dungeons, no level bracket is truly safe. You can be punished by Ragefire Chasm (15+), Stockades (20+), lots of the 40+ dungeons, and the entire Blackrock dungeons are bugged which wipes out the upper 40s and 50s entirely (you pretty much always end up in Blackrock).
Worse yet, doing RDF in 60s is a pain. Finding a healer is difficult, and it seems like most of the time the party gets sent to either underbog or slave pens (both places that give no reward and saddle you with Dungeon Deserter even when complete), though Ramparts and Blood Furnace are working. I'm trying to test out the rest.
A SOLUTION TO THE OTHER PROBLEM
If you want to ensure that you won't get stuck in the RDF for being the last person out of the party, use this script to leave the party manually. This works even if you are the only person left in the "party".
/script LeaveParty()
I have it macro'd.

Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
The Stockade and Ragefire Chasm will be fixed on next update.
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
The Underbog and The Slave Pens also will work on next update.
Re: Someone said RDF is broken (please explain)
No update since server must be updated before anything will change at crash/startup.Raxxo wrote:By next update you mean next crash/restart?
