- Aldor or Scryers?
- Gear
- Healers: You may be in for some tough choices. While the Scryers staff provides huge healing, Aldor gear provides substantial Intellect and MP5 gear. The shoulder enchantments are the reverse, Aldor providing substantial healing and Scryers providing more MP5.
- Casters: The Scryers appear superior in some ways. They provide a very good spell hit trinket, shoulder enchants with stats more in favor of crits and an epic spell damage ring. In contrast, the Aldor provides a spell damage staff with intellect that lacks stamina, and a low-stamina, high intellect chestpiece with decent damage.
- If you are training enchanting or tailoring, you should probably choose Scryer, since you can access all enchanting training on the Scryer's tier, and also more easily purchase the BoE patterns.
- In the end, most of the rare and probably epic rewards from the two factions are likely to get replaced by other better raid loots or PvP rewards. Base your choice on the inscriptions!
- Inscriptions
- Aldor:
- Permanently adds up to 18 spell damage and healing and 10 spell critical strike rating to a shoulder slot item.

- Highly Recommended Quests
- Gear
- Ring of Blood (67) - Quick experience with a nice weapon as reward.
- Cipher of the Damnation Chain (70) - Gives good weapons and has to be done for Tempest Keep anyways.
- The Warden's Cage(70) - Gives good weapons and has to be done for Black Temple anyways.
- Battle of the Crimson Watch (70) - Gives a nice ring.
- The Nagrand Safari (68) - Side Weapon (idol, relic etc).
- Nagrand Forge Camp (68) - Main armor piece
Reputation
- Ogri'la Introduction Quest (70) - Unlocks the Ogri'la faction.
- PvE pre-raid gear
Should you have level 60 end-raid gear, you shouldn't have to worry much about this.
See this sheet for your class.
- PvP gear, where do you start?
To begin with you should get your battlegear. It's purchased from each of the dungeon factions (Cenarion Expedition, Thrallmar/Honor Hold, Keepers of Time, Sha'tar & Lower City) when you reach honored with them. Simply do quest or dungeons related to them (Spam RDF!).
Once you've picked up the Battlegear, you can obtain further Gladiator gear by doing arenas once each season begins.
- Class Guides
No class guides exists as of now.

I am new to TBC myself, so if we all could contribute to making the guide, that would be great! The idea is just to share our knowledge about TBC to make it simpler for new players to catch up on the content they might be unfamiliar with. Main point is that it's clear already from level 58 what you should focus.
For the pre-raid section, I was hoping we could get something similar tinyurl.com/primalbis. Whoever did set it up the last time, please do it again for TBC!
As for class guides, that will just be links to the guides that you make.

I think the first version is done now.
If you feel like some vital information is missing, please let us know in the thread. I would especially like if you know any other recommended quest to do. I need someone to set up a pre-raid gear sheet, similar to the one we already have. Class guides would also be cool, but I don't think we'll many of them before TBC actually is released.

Another good addition!
Pay attention to the Quest progression section as there may be difference between the versions!
P.S Fix the link of Battle of the Crimson Watch (70) - Gives a nice ring.

Blue pvp gear from factions shouldn't be available at start. It was added later maybe few weeks/months before black temple patch as catch up mechanism

Hmm you' re right. It was added ìn 2.4.
Question is if it's better to have it released from the start as it' s worse than the gladiator set and would allow people to start balancing battlegrounds/arenas before entering them for the first time?

If they give any advantage to pve at release then no. If they don't, adding them could promote pvp more.
