Complete overhaul of your wow experience

/wave /bow

Want to play WoW but sick of all the same looks you have been staring into all these years?
Well, I can guide you trough some changes which will make your WoW experience a bit different.

1. Warlords of Draenor character models and character selection screen background
- visit this link
- pick "Wrath of the lich king" expansion (not "old")
- select your operative system and click "download"
- when you get to torrent's download menu pick only --> patch-w.mpq <-- & --> patch-enUS-w.mpq <--- ( patch enUS is located in enUS file and it's 1001kb big, there is few other same named files so make sure you pick 1001kb file )
- after the download is complete just copy/paste patch-w.mpq to data folder and patch-enUS-w.mpq to enUS folder
That's it... enjoy new improved models and different character selection screen.
It's a welcome change indeed.

2. Improved graphics without performance loss
- check out this link
- download the "addon" (which actually is not only wow addon since I used sweet fx on every game I played)
- extract it to wow folder (JUST wow folder, not in any other sub-folder)
- enjoy
(tip... you can switch between sweetfx and default graphics by pressing scroll lock key)

3. Vanilla WoW login and loading screens for your Wotlk client
- download file from this link
- extract it to your WoW folder (JUST wow folder, not in any other sub-folder)
- enjoy

With all this you get vanilla wow scent while having WoD character models and much better graphics.
Ofc... I'm not the first guy to discover all this but I think its good idea to put all these things in one guide.
Taking in consideration that we are currently on vanilla wow content, this can greatly contribute to immersion.
Cheers and cya in game!

EDIT: all of this is tested and works with PrimalWoW client, can post screenshots if needed.

I'm running the game from the warmane client and the WoD models are buggy, things like hair and beards not showing up, even outright saying theres an error when I create them.

Models indeed aren't perfect, but alot of them are looking good. Problems mostly happen with hairstyles...
Works for me... it's a matter of personal preference tbh.
My undead looks good...

Yall i cant get this to work right for the life of me, It works but it creates a crazy black sorta shadow left where something moves that dont go away until i hit scroll lock, if i move my camera around while its enabled the screen just gets engulfed with black. Anybody know whats wrong?

Edit: Forgot to mention im talking about the sweetfx + efx thing

Same thing happens to me, so I stopped using it.

not sure really what went wrong there...

Never had problems with it. Try using few different presets.

I might be derpin', but I don't see patch-enUS-w.mpq.
Emphasis on the -w, I only see patch-enUS.MPQ which is 282mb.

What if I want the login screen of vanilla and the loading screens of wrath?

Edit: Nevermind I found a solution. Link to WoW Login Screen Tweaker: http://filebeam.com/5a8ecf396bf9f7eb77d76aacb9155977
I wanted to make my client look like the trial edition I started in.
(The music in the trial edition is still the old wrath music)
