How to Disable the Sylvanas Music Box sound

There may be enough others like me, who can't stand hearing Sylvanas' Music Box being used in raids. So, I finally looked for a more permanent solution than disabling/enabling DK voices from the sound settings, and thought I'd share if anyone else is interested:

Extract the following file into your WoW folder and enjoy the blissful sound of silence as people around you place as many Sylvanas' Music Boxes as they want.

(or more detailed instructions and for people who don't want to extract random files from the internet into their WoW folders)

1. Open your WoW folder
2. Create a folder called "Sound" (without the quotation marks) if it doesn't already exist
3. Open Sound folder
4. Create a folder called "Music" (without the quotation marks) if it doesn't already exit
5. Open Music folder
6. Create folder called "GlueScreenMusic" (without the quotation marks) if it doesn't already exist
7. Open GlueScreenMusic folder
8. Create new empty text file called "BCCredits_Lament_of_the_Highborne.mp3" (without the quotes)
9. Make sure new file you created has .mp3 extension, NOT .mp3.txt or .txt or anything else

I have a small aneurysm every time I hear it, so I see it as more than simple trolling. For those of us who have been diagnosed with the rare disease of spontaneous music box rage syndrome, this may be the only solution the doctor prescribed.

Just because it's not recognized by the WHO doesn't mean it's not a real disease... There are at least 3 known cases on truewow alone.

I replaced mine with a 10 secs clip of DnB, its awesome.

Just turn off/on DK sound effects in the game sound menu.

It's not hard to enable and disable DK voices but during certain fights it's pretty risky. Since there are a few people with the syndrome of putting down a music box just to annoy others, im glad there's finally a permanent solution that wont make me rage at certain players or compromise the group by afking a few seconds. i would suggest if u have prob with wow gaming sound like fastor who has prob with all wow in game sound even he don't likethe sound of candles u should just turn off game music everything disabled.
