Dalaran and the Horde?

#1 » Post by Noblebeastx » 22 Jun 2010 07:33

In Silverpine Forest, there are quests that involve attacking humans from Dalaran. But, in Northrend you're welcome to go into Dalaran. Is there a story to why the Horde are let in or not?
The Sunreaver's pulled some strings and got the Horde in.

http://www.wowwiki.com/Sunreavers
Blizzard took the easy way out with absolutely no explanation as to why the Horde as in Dalaran except the following:

"Blood Elves were part of the Kirin Tor, they are now Horde, but you can still come in our city!"
People have already said the story. The Horde really helped the Blood Elves out in TBC, and the Blood Elves returned the favor by fighting to get them a place in Dalaran. The Kirin Tor are intellects; they will always choose the smart decision over the emotional one.

Unlike some people around here!

And the main part of this story was supposed to be that the Silver Covenant formed to oppose the entry of the Blood Elves and the Horde into Dalaran, which is a story that was never really brought in-depth. They still don't like each other and that's never really gonna change.

As a matter of fact there is. The time when dalaran mages were in Silverpine, Dalaran was in Alterac and they fought against the Horde and were only on Alliance side. You can read a lot about that in "The day of the dragon" Warcraft book. It's not expensive and it's really interesting to read ;)

Yep, the Dalaran mages fought the Burning Legion and the Horde. maybe the leaders of Kirin Tor realised, that the only hope to prevent the Lich King's plague is the teamwork with the Horde. And the mages of Dalaran fought the Horde because they wanted to conquer the humans. But now the Horde is no longer the tool of the Burning legion, and it has a wise leader (Thrall), and they want only to survive, and keep theyr places in this alien world.

There's also the matter of both Rhonin, as the leader of the Kirin Tor, and Jaina, who is a friend of Thrall.

Rhonin and Krasus had trusted and had befriended an orc named Broxiggar who saved Azeroth by delaying and even wounded Sargeras. As seen in the Ulduar trailer, it seems Rhonin is not opposed against the horde, as like jaina, he think that the best way to save azeroth is if everyone unites.
