Thanks for the reply. This issue came up on two separate clients. We played on two vanilla servers before we discovered primal wow. Also occurred on 2 different OS (8.1 and 10), I will try the compatibility mode.

Unstable affliction eventually... meh... I won't be raiding for awhile. I have plenty of time to fool around

Training is 855g. Dreadsteed spell is 10g.

No sign that we have to do the quest chain for dreadsteed spell (or is the quest for journeyman riding?)

I guess vanilla has less spells than retail. I tried going back to affliction once a couple years back and I had a hard time keeping track of 5 or more dots on several different mobs. Destro seemed more straight forward to me.
