Re: The Bigger Picture

I just dropped on by this old place to bump this thread. Don't forget it, people. =)

Peace and serenity.

A person who respects another person more because of looks is more of a degenerate than a person who disrespects another person for no reason at all. Such nicety should be purged off with harsh repulsion.

Re: Faction Balance (Again)

Normally, I don't condone customized solutions to an arbitrary design, but since gone are the days of strict Blizzlike planning here in our old server, I'd suggest a little tweak which can, most possibly, fix this problem. Adjust the honor income for Alliance players. Inflate their income by a fixed...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

Would people really leave the server with a lower buff even if it's 15%? Completely removing it might indeed be too much as it should still be possible to do LK 25hc once in a while. From what I have learned, people are more likely to keep playing a challenging game with almost unobtainable rewards...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

Trinity's 4.3.4 is in an inchoate state, just now, far so long, they'll get the phases straight (Gilneas for example isn't properly spawned). And the little care that is given to 4.3.4 right now is because it shares feature with WoD, which is eventually the main project's focus. If we were ever goi...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

I understand the sentiment. And, the comment about the bug condition was correct once upon a time. But, things have changed. Cataclysm has been worked on so much even by Trinity that 4.3.4 is working much better than even our 3.3.5a. Apart from that, the game changed drastically from Vanilla to WOTL...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

I wish we weren't so in denial and realized that the only true problem is staying the same expansion for so many years. It's unnatural, and there is a limit of how much you beat a dead horse. A lot of our players are fashionably not fond of the later expansions even though they never played it or ar...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

Also there is nothing "unblizzlike" about this suggestion, all those buffs were used at retail so all of them are blizzlike. We're also not talking about lowering the buff and then increasing it again, we're talking about permanently lowering it as we won't have Cata. I meant in terms of 3.3.5a. Th...

Re: Lowering/Removing the ICC Buff

Lol. Removing the zone-wide raid buffs called Hellscream's Warsong and Strength of Wrynn is out of the question. But, I understand the concern from the words of Ragnorak, Kindzadza and Belendor. I feel you. However, some of the "ideas" which we have about how these buffs really worked in retail aren...

Re: Arena rewards revamp

Fixing class bugs is way harder than any of these changes to arena. Undoubtedly. That was only mentioned to put this problem into perspective. It's a lot less important and intrusive than we're giving it credit for by having nearly 10 pages of discussions. Since Kindzadza already mentioned that thi...

Re: Gear Set Collection

One may wonder about the point of collecting all of those items. But, one could wonder the same about any form of collection. The impressive side is revealed in the sheer volume and discipline found in the collection. Good job. These are my favorites, but nothing is absolute. Wolf Rider's set, Shado...

Re: Arena rewards revamp

Discarnate the change in the 2v2 bracket and the shoulders and t2 weapons being obtainable there is only to prevent the abuse of the 3v3 system and how players are using it to get those items. Last season you could just whisper a guildie to queue 3v3 and get yourself easy 10 wins against a comp or ...

Re: Arena rewards revamp

Sadly, a lot of these comments do repeat one truth; one that is slightly out of our hands. The only true way of increasing the activity in 3v3 is by increasing the population. All of my suggestions are either about policing the quality of the matches or narrowing down the loose activity into a tight...

Re: Arena rewards revamp

Keep 3v3 open on the average weekends from all over the world; 48 hours each week; early Fridays to late Saturdays. This can do exactly what your suggestion intended to do while making sure people from all over the world can participate in it. You can switch around the combination of days to your l...
