I see myself as a male now but when choosing a name i get the error "could not customize character" even when I dont change any of the skin color / face etc

i just wanna change from human female to human male since on wotlk i prefer male animations to female

Hello I have just been accepted to have my character created here from retail and when I try to change my appearance/race etc it says "could not change race for character." is this a bug or just the case that I have to stay female human like on retail?
