but ive been playing wow like many years now and whenever i changed realmlist i always left it saved in the folder as .txt i never saved it back as .wtf so you think thats the problem?

Hi yes im sure its 3.3.5 12340 at least when i open the game on the bottom left side thats what it says and yes regarding the set realmlist its in wow/data/enGB folder now when i will go home i will double check these things.
