[Rejected] Vanilla Enchants

There are several enchants currently which require TBC enchanting materials as they were changed in that expansion. These were enchants originally in Vanilla WoW, but now we do not have access to them. This means we will have TBC era enchants dropping in AQ40/AQ20.

Some of the enchants affected:

Enchant Cloak - Subtley
Enchant Cloak - Greater Fire Resist

Revert these enchants until TBC launch please.

To be clear there are two ways to obtain these patterns which even still holds true to retail today: either obtain the relevant reputation with Thrallmar/Honor Hold/Lower City/etc. or have them drop in AQ40/AQ20.

Greater Nature/Fire resist to cloak enchants are actually very important for certain fights in the game, such as Four Horsemen in Naxxramas and Huhuran in AQ40.

There is nothing that can be done about this, I have just checked for duplicate spells to see if there is different version of same spell but thee is not as for reagents data for this comes from client side dbc files, ie

Could you implement a vendor which would trade the required materials for the vanilla version of the enchant or another work around?

Lhara (dmf) probably still sells motes to makes primals even though should not probably on primal
We cannot add random items to vendor as to make an item require specific items (other than gold) to buy we need an extendedcostid which sets what that item requires to be purchased from vendor ie http://wiki.wow-v.com/Extended_Cost we cannot add custom as yet again this comes from client dbc files onlything we can set is a costid.

Only way of actually fixing this would be to use vanilla client.

I dont know what DMF vendor currently sells but maybe it would be possible to add those TBC materials to them (Greater Planar Essence, Small Prismatic Shard, Primal Life, etc)

well either maywork but is not something I would mess with, you can try using custom quests with required items and rewards, you would need multiple quests.
For dialog npc would need custom script, gossip options and conditions

Erro could but as already said we cannot make cost anything we want and that vendor has a long history of been abused (people using bots to buy from vendor which was not fied to a year or so ago.

I think the dialogue or quest would be the best options, but I also feel that development time would probably be better spent elsewhere.
