Blood DK DPS bugged?

Anyone with blood DK DPS knowledge can help me with this report http://www.truewow.org/bugs/view.php?id=4652 pls?

is it valid or not?

I never played blood dps nor cared about max damage outputs so I hope someone experienced can answer this as I dont want to test whole blood dps spec from scratch.

Sadly its the least played spec of all 3.

When that is said it should be top as single target.

i have tested with a Regenthor, with str and arp gems, if arp was scaling correctly it should do more dps, but that wasnt the case.

[Dancing Rune Weapon] there is something wrong with diseases not doing the damage it should.
How it should work: When using the Dancing Rune Weapon, the "weapon" should copy all damages DK (but with 50%). Including damages melee and spells of damage.

[Blood Gorged] the damage and armor it ignores, i am not sure its 100% as it should.

[Bloodworms] they do 20-50 damage, as i can see and heard they should do arround 100 damage.

Hello,

As of now the only noticeable bugs for Blood Death Knights that I can confirm are Glyph of Deathstrike and Bloodworms. As for Dancing Rune Weapon it should not ever miss it's abilities because they are a 50% mirror of what you successfully landed on the boss. In other words, if you miss it also misses and if you land a hit it also lands it's hit. All the attacks it copies are correct as well so far.

I won't comment on actual bugs, though we discussed ingame how you can go about rigorously testing each talent and having unbiased and statistically significant results, but with things like the ArP talent not working it might be simpler for a dev to check if the talent implementation seems right.

As for using the argument that blood DKs should be top 1, I would first do some research before making such bold claims, as blood DKs were well-known to be among the lowest DPS specs in patch 3.3.

I'm not sure if DRW is working right, but the mechanics should indeed be a total mirror of your own damage, divided by 2. Very simple on paper.

Blood gorged is difficult to test because you need to regem so that you can test with 90% ArP from gear, then 100% while keeping everything else constant, then hit a target dummy for long enough to get statistically-significant samples (which takes a long time).

Blood wasn't a go-to DPS spec at WotlK, one of the reasons why they just redesigned it to be a tank spec later, just as mcheka has said. Other than that, there are talents that I never knew that were broken. So yeah, there are always chances a thing here and there isn't working as it's supposed to. Doesn't change the fact it's not quite a good designed spec to start with though.

Update to my previous post.

Glyph of Death Strike works as intended under normalized circumstances.

Issue #2 with Bloodworms is that multiple sets cannot be summoned.
As an example: I'm hitting the boss Random Number Generator gives me 4 Bloodworms if Random Number Generator was so kind as to give me another set of Bloodworms they are supposed to spawn while the previous set is still active. As they are right now, Bloodworms only spawn as one set at a time which is incorrect.

One thing I could not find is information about how Bloodworms inherit stats so if someone happens to find info on that please share.

Bloodworms AP scalling and spawn rate is not working in Truewow as for Blooddk.

As u can see all 3 specs are so close to each other not sure if FrostDks were actually played the way focusing Obliterate or Froststrike.

Update:

I ran some extensive tests on the PTR and can confirm that "Blood Gorged" armor penetration provided is not functioning properly.

This have been working on before, from drw doing nothing to it actually do something.

Death strike doing too much damage at some point.

Worms not doing any damage at all.

So if these things could be looked into or maybe fixed, people would actually play this spec more.

i personally like this spec the most.

What is your basis?

From what I have calculated "Death Strike" seems fine.

My Death Knight on PTR has 1197-1302 "Weapon Damage". So to get the proper equation (1197+1302)÷2= 1249.5 or my Death Knight's average "Weapon Damage".

"Death Strike" does 97-98% "Weapon Damage" plus 374 so the equation should be (1249.5x.97)+374= 1586.015 or the average NORMAL hit damage for "Death Strike"

And as you can see here: Click Me!
The NORMAL AVERAGE damage calculated matches after 100 "Death Strike" casts when you include all the possibilities of RNG this is a clear match.
